#Danny phantom nocturn free
Once Danny knows what hes up to, he breaks free with his ice powers obviously, he could have done that earlier but let Nocturn think he was trapped until he revealed his Evil Plan. He’s capable, confident, and good at the shit he does. Evil Gloating: Exploited after he has Danny apparently trapped, Nocturn politely takes the time to explain who he is and exactly what hes doing. Danny wasn’t even what really solved either problem- it was Wulf. He did manage to kidnap almost the entire camping trip. I’d argue his plans are the ones that actually stuck, too- he did succeed in getting Danny hated by the town. As a kid, I remember finding his big stature and lack of color really intimidating. But he managed to turn a part of the Ghost Zone into a functioning prison- he provided a twisted form of law in an never-ending cosmos of dead people. Walker is honestly one of the most capable ghosts we meet? Like, no, he’s not all-powerful like the Ghost King. No one really seems to appreciate Walker much in the fandom, which shocks the shit out of me. Side note, but re-watching the show and realizing that Tara Strong (who I mostly remember as Timmy Turner and Twilight Sparkle) voiced TWO of the most intimidating villains in this show? Trippy as all hell. She nitpicked and nitpicked Danny into little pieces and was one of the few people who asked him honestly- what are you? A ghost? A kid? She planned to have Jazz murdered in front of the WHOLE SCHOOL just so she could come in and play grief counselor. A ghost that feeds on misery, choosing to do so by subtly bullying teenagers? There’s no telling the lengths she’s gone to. Lbr Spectra is probably one of the darkest concepts DP delved into. And the aging part of his ghost powers is still pretty lit. He gave Danny a LOT of chances he really didn’t have to. Clockwork was chill, neutral, and even kind. Idk man, I’m so used to time beings as these hardened, bitter assholes. Undergrowth seemed pretty competent to take over all of Amity Park, and I thought his possession thing with Sam was interesting. Same deal as above, but I remember really liking Urban Jungle as a kid.

#Danny phantom nocturn series
The series finale, " Phantom Planet", had many rushed elements and was a lousy way to end the series.A majority of the episodes in this season are focused on Danny and Sam's romantic relationship, which is poorly developed, unneeded, and forced. Some new villains in this season, like Undergrowth and Malignus, while having cool designs, are terribly written, very cliché, and have lots of unnecessary filler.Only 13 episodes in this season compared to 20 episodes in each of the first two seasons because of Nickelodeon cutting funding for the series. This is primarily Butch's fault as he deliberately made the series go too over-budget for various different reasons during the production of the first two seasons. Nickelodeon decided to cancel the show after three seasons despite Butch Hartman wanting to make more seasons. These three points are almost as if Butch Hartman was trying to remove any complexities and nuances that the show had in the first place.Another notable example is that the ghosts in this season are now confirmed to be monsters from other dimensions, despite the first two seasons making it very clear that ghosts are actually the souls of dead people. This alone is not only nonsensical but also completely goes against his entire character, considering he is already a billionaire and his primary motivation was to kill Jack and get Maddie to be his lover for life, as shown in the first two seasons. A notable example is in the series finale "Phantom Planet", where he reveals his true identity to the world and his evil plan suddenly turns out to hold the world hostage for ransom. Vlad started to make more unnecessary and unneeded appearances, up to the point where he has become a bland and generic villain.A notable example is the episode " Livin' Large", which goes backward on Danny's character development. Danny started to become very selfish and do unintelligent things. The writing in this season is weaker compared to the first two seasons, such as a horribly inconsistent tone and several characters repeatedly going out-of-character for no reason, mostly Danny himself and Vlad, the main antagonist. The subplots from the first two seasons are either ignored or forgotten, notably Dark Danny, as well as Danny's interaction with other characters such as Valerie and Dani.

One of those new writers were Kevin Sullivan who, with a few exceptions, would prove to be a bad writer, as he would go on to write plenty of bad episodes for The Fairly Odd Parents, T.U.F.F.Additionally, he hired new writers who weren't familiar with the show, further affecting the quality of the final product. As a result, Butch Hartman became more involved with the writing than he did in the first two seasons.

Many of the original writers from the first two seasons were fired by Nickelodeon, notably Steve Marmel.
